If you have thin corneas and are not a candidate for laser-assisted in situ keratomileusis, or LASIK (a corneal refractive procedure that requires the creation of a partial-thickness flap before the cornea is sculpted with a laser), Epithelial Laser In Situ Keratomileusis (Epi-LASIK) may be a good option for you.
- Want to reduce or eliminate your dependency on glasses or contacts
- Are at least 18 years of age, with stable vision for at least one year
- Have healthy eyes with no sign of glaucoma or cataracts
- Have thinner than average corneas
- Have had previous eye surgery such as RK (Radial Keratotomy)
- Are involved in contact sports (boxing, sky diving)
- Have a job that may involve eye injury (law enforcement, professional athlete)
